We are looking for a Maintenance Technician/Assistant to support our Realife Cooperative of Duluth location. This maintenance position is responsible for monitoring preventative maintenance programs and repairs building systems and equipment and grounds keeping for the community.* No certification or formal education required. Our community is a 35-unit, three story complex. Nestled in the woods, but only minutes from Miller Hill Mall, grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, and medical facilities. This repairs/grounds/maintenance position includes: -60 hours every two weeks -Day shift; Monday-Thursday 8:30AM-4PM and Friday 8:30AM-12:30PM -Weekends as needed -Benefit eligible ( PTO, Medical, Dental, Retirement, Tuition reimbursement) Responsibilities/Job Description -Repairs and maintains physical equipment and structure(s) including: -Items on work orders -Grounds keeping; removing snow from sidewalks and walkways, trims around bushes, trees and sidewalks -Assists with moving boxes, furniture and apartment turnover -Trains other building staff, as needed on basic trouble-shooting of building systems and equipment Qualifications Required: -One to three years previous experience in a similar environment/duties -Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team -Must be able to follow written and verbal repair instructions and directions Preferred: -High school diploma or GED preferred -Vocations/Technical training preferred As part of Fairview Health Services, Ebenezer is driven to heal, discover and educate for longer, healthier and meaningful lives for seniors.
