The Assistant Project Manager is a working/managing position of the Twelve Oaks Mall, must be ready to take action and assist his individual crew members at any time. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for shift personnel, and insure it’s fully staffed. When PM is not available. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assigning the daily, weekly and monthly tasks as indicated on the specifications. When PM is not available. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for inspecting work assigned and delivered a quality product of all assignments during all working hours. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for all “Monthly Safety Topics” training to reinforce that working safely is an important part of Environmental Service’s job operation. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for maintaining proper inventory control of supplies and materials needed for the cleaning program. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for monitoring all equipment and ensures that all is in working condition and coordinate repairs with the Project Manager. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for all proper training on equipment and must be able to operate equipment, Material Safety Data Sheets. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible on monitoring time cards and reporting time schedules to Project Manager. The Assistant Project Manager will review staffing needs and prospective new employees with the Project Manager. to hiring new crewmembers, subject to the rules and procedures set by the Corporate Policy Manual, as well as specific directives of the Project Manager. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for employee orientation, and communicating disciplinary actions to the Project Manager. Also to ensure proper uniform policy, for example, all uniforms provided must be worn clean and be in neat appearances which is a requirement by Environmental Service Concepts and the client. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for interfacing daily with Property Management logging all requests, walking the facility with Property Operations and/or attending staff meetings, but always maintaining an open communication policy. When PM is not available. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for covering when an employee calls out on His or Her job duties. REPORTING: The Assistant Project Manager reports to the Project Manager. MANAGEMENT SKILLS: The Assistant Project Manager must have good personal management skills. These include time management, follow-up, good personal communication skills, and the ability to cross communicate between crew members and mall management both verbally and through email. Organizational management skills required a full and working knowledge of corporate management reporting requirements. The ability to train line personnel is very important. The Assistant Project Manager must be ready to recommend a replacement should the PM desire to be promoted at a future time, or should there be a need at another location. The personality of the Assistant Project Manager must be one of even-temper, but with unbending dedication to goals and procedures. The Assistant Project Manager must treat employees fairly, with respect and provide a positive environment to work in. LANGUAGE SKILLS: The Assistant Project Manager must be bi-lingual. The APM must first be fluent in the predominant language of the culture of Project personnel. There is also a requirement that as a minimum the APM be proficient in English as a second language. There should be good writing skills in the predominant project location language. COMPUTER SKILLS: While not required, the Assistant Project Manager should be able to use a personal computer, to aid in efficient communications, email and record keeping. TECHNICAL ABILITY: The Assistant Project Manager must have fully developed skills in the cleaning processes. · Check with PM about ongoing projects or extra responsibilities · Be able to Run and Maintain Pressure Washers · Vacuum Wet/Dry, keep all free of trash and debris · Answer radio calls immediately · Keep logs accurately · Know how to Run and Maintain Scrubber Washers · Know how to use Degreasers · Know how to use Sealants · Know how to Detail/Clean Restrooms · Check the Parking Garage for trash/debris/graffiti · Complete and Understand all activities listed on your Daily Activity Plans · Know and locate all necessary supplies and chemicals · Know the entire mall layout including the back hallways and streets. · Know how to fill out the necessary paperwork: Action Log, Spill Log, Radio, and Schedule sheets etc. · Know how to operate bailers. · Wear and Keep your uniform in good condition. · Report to PM broken equipment immediately · Work together w/ fellow employees, costumers, and clients · Know how to Wax and Service all floors: marble, concrete, asphalt, etc. · Organization Skills · Giving Directions/Answer Questions · Know How to Fill out All Paperwork/ Keep necessary paperwork with you daily and fill out as needed! · Make sure ALL work on the DAILY ACTION PLAN IS FINISHED · Be helpful and supportive to employees/co-workers/Project Managers/Client/Customer · Know your Chemicals! · Help PM inspect entire mall readiness at opening or closing and retrain employees as needed · Distribute radios, cleaning supplies · Report supply inventory to PM weekly · Touch base with PM to identify employee or area that needs retraining/improving · Make sure porters/matron return carts and equipment clean and organized · Coordinate porter/matron breaks PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS: The Assistant Project Manager must be performance oriented. The specifications for each job site must be achieved as a priority, to the satisfaction of mall management, or as directed by the Project Manager. ***For immediate consideration call Raphael 224-500-1625*** SCHEDULE: Afternoons 2pm-10pm or 3pm -11pm
