The maintenance staff is responsible for the maintenance and repairs associated with all FLACRA facilities and sites. The following duties apply:
General Duties
1. Receives and responds to oral and/or computerized work orders (Spice Works) from Supervisor.
2. Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs.
3. Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule.
4. Participates in building coverage by working evenings and weekend rotation as required.
5. Performs touch up and finish painting.
6. Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, stairways and windows as directed by Supervisor.
7. Uses hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks. This includes snow removal from entrances/walkways, lawn mowing, trimming bushes and debris removal.
8. Uses brooms, mops, and floor equipment to sweep, mop, strip and wax floors.
9. Uses vacuum cleaners and/or shampooer to clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and blinds.
10. Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills.
11. Replaces light bulbs which may require the use of a ladder.
12. Sets up and tears down chairs, tables and equipment in meeting rooms, and program locations.
13. Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to programs that are not direct shipped to program sites. (The majority of supplies are direct shipped to each program location.)
14. Opens and closes building according to security procedures.
15. Provides assistance to officials, staff, visitors, and other employees as necessary.
