We have diverse taste but a common ground nonetheless- If you can’t see yourself playing something similar to any of our listed influences- chances are this isn’t the project for you We are an original group, currently working on recording our first album. We have 10 finished originals, more in the works. 4 of them have 2nd guitar parts written- the rest are blank canvases Meaning we need the new guitarist to be willing to learn the few finished ones as they are- but we have even more songs available for writing immediately- A few of our influences are- 90s alt rock- smashing pumpkins Tool, a perfect circle, Radiohead, Nirvana, deftones, modest mouse 80s post punk And post punk revival bands from joy division, bauhaus, smiths the cure to Interpol, killers, the strokes A bit of math rock, and dark emo sounds A heavy dose of progressive modern metal - chon, toska, animals as leaders, polyphia, BTBAM Sometimes a touch of old school punk/ thrash riffs or groove metal And some funk- vulfpeck, Jaco pastorious Our music is heavily focused on dynamic and versatility- we have songs from 2.5 mins to 7 mins long Some are heavy polyrhythms odd timing with atmospheric interludes To high energy punk and post punk - The way it’s put together is hard to explain but we definitely have a distinct sound - a lot of bass forward riffs We can send demos and videos to anyone interested We would also like to try out a dedicated keyboardist unless the guitarist is also a keys player Atomosphere- simple catchy melodies- nothing too busy As far as the guitarist goes we are looking for a versatile professional Someone who loves making simple catchy songs- playing rhythm OR leads, Adding atmosphere and texture. As well as being able to play more technical stuff as well Rythym and lead stuff from super simple to super technical Happy using tones and textures to create atmosphere- But also possibly be the only guitar playing on certain songs REQUIREMENTS- 1or 2 rehearsals a week. Fairly flexible A desire to take the music as far as possible- to play live and and eventually plan small tours when the time comes (which will be as soon as possible) Have professional level gear and effects. A current gen multi effects unit ( helix or similar) OR a large amount of effects with advanced switching capabilities- ( or be willing to get one if it works out, hx fx and hx stomp are about 400$-) We absolutely need an arsenal of effects as we spend a lot of time creating tones for every song- in order to get the detailed unique sounds we have live We need someone especially able to have a motivated and positive attitude about writing and a passion for success.
