This is the sweetest family dog ever!! Good with kids, good with other dogs, good with small animals and he’s usually well mannered around farm animals like chickens and goats too! His name is Flicker and I rescued him after someone abandoned him in the woods. He showed up on our doorstep starved half to death with no collar or microchip. His behavior when he first arrived suggested that he had been physically abused. For two months I’ve worked with him, brought him back to health, and helped him gain confidence. I’ve taught him some basic obedience commands and taught him to be well mannered around the house and our farm. Now he needs a loving family to give him a forever home! He has been to the vet for a checkup, he has his vaccines and rabies shot and tested negative for heartworms. The vet suspects he is between 2-3 years of age. We think his breed is an American Foxhound, or perhaps a foxhound mix. HIS EASYGOING PERSONALITY MAKES HIM THE SWEETEST COMPANION EVER! Flicker is a very laidback, easygoing, low maintenance kind of hound. He LOVES snuggles and bellyrubs. He’s friendly with strangers and other animals. He’s never showed any signs of aggression. After his background of being abused, abandoned and unwanted, all he wants in the world is to have a family that loves him! A $200 rehoming fee will be charged to make sure that he goes to a home where he will truly be loved. He is special to me because I saved his life and got to show him what it’s like to be loved by a human for the first time. The only reason I can’t keep him forever is because we already have 3 dogs and we’re just not suited to have a 4th. I know that you will love him as much as I do!
