We are looking for candidates that fit the criteria listed below. The shift for this position is Monday-Thursday 6:30am-5pm. Qualified candidates can give us a call at 816-221-0211 and setup a time to come in and talk to us. JOB OVERVIEW • The employee will perform some skilled tasks enabling the more senior members of the department to focus on tasks requiring additional skills and expertise. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES • Set up and operate drill presses, shapers, routers, sanders, planers, screw guns and nail guns. • Cut, shape, and smooth wooden parts. • Sand parts using sander or sandpaper. • Accurately reads tape measurements to create necessary parts. • Ensure wood isn’t warped, cracked or swollen. • Add fasteners and adhesives and connect pieces to form a complete unit. • Complete any stage of the woodworking process. • Complete other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS • Must be 18 years of age. • Must be able to work an assigned schedule. • Must be able to walk the length of the shop floor. • Must be able to stand on concrete floors for extended periods of time. • Must be able to push, pull, lift and or carry up to 50 pounds unassisted. • Must be able to accurately read a tape measure. • Must be able to accurately read printed documents.
