Description
This is a 1099 (Independent Contractor), production-based, position. This position is responsible for performing Surveys to conduct underground cable service installation to end user and ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications. Duties include following guidelines to provide detailed route from existing plant to customer demark.
Requirements:
Strong communication skills, analytical and observational.
Ability to read and understand maps. Must have strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software and technologies (Proficiency in MS Excel, Word & Outlook).
Perform field survey assignments on a daily basis over varying terrain and outside in all weather conditions. Must be highly responsible and self-motivated.
Knowledge of the process in CATV as built, new build walkouts and Knowledge of cable design and basic CATV construction practices is a plus, but not required, we are willing to train.
Able to perform physical tasks for the entire assigned work shift.
Standing - 6 to 8 hours daily
Walking - 6 to 8 hours daily
Sitting - 2 to 4 hours daily
Bending/Stooping - 1 to 2 hours daily
Driving throughout the day
Writing/Drafting - 6 to 8 hours daily
Additional Information:
This position requires local travel.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Must have vehicle to travel from job site to job site.
Must have tablet and cellphone
Must be able to pass background and drug screening.
Must be capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
