Job Description: Prefer previous professional experience in structural and/or miscellaneous steel fabrication. Job entails the fabrication of stairs, handrails mezzanines, columns, beams, etc.. We also erect some of the projects we fabricate. Most of the erection is done in Charlotte so travel will not be a concern. We are looking for an individual who can read drawings and build from them. ***Pictures show actual work our company has done for reference. No aluminum or stainless work is done is this shop. This job is NOT similar to pipe fitting/welding. ********************************* Requirements are as follows: *Must be highly experienced and knowledgeable in carbon steel fabrication *Minimum 1 year previous steel fabrication or steel erection experience in a professional field (should be more than hobby work) *Prefer mig and stick welding experience *Clean driving record required (no DUI or DWI) *Reliable transportation required *Must be able to lift 50 lbs *Must be able to stand for extended periods *Must be able to work on ladders when required *Must not be afraid of heights. *Must be able to accurately read tape measures to 1/16" *Background check required before hire *********Job located in Bessemer City, NC (outisde of Gastonia, NC)
