JOB DESCRIPTION HARVEST CREW Heron Pond Farm is seeking Harvest Crew Members for the 2021 fall season! Full or part time available. Guaranteed work from September 1st thru late November. Flexible end date. Possible winter and year round work for the right match! Job Duties include: Harvesting a large variety of vegetable and berry crops Washing/sorting/packing veggies for CSA, wholesale outlets and farmer’s markets Transplanting on the tractor mounted water wheel transplanter Limited hand weeding and hoeing Occasional greenhouse work including transplanting, watering, moving trays and general maintenance Qualifications: Farm experience is not a must! We are mainly looking for an individual with a good work ethic and positive attitude. Interest in agriculture Enjoy working outside in the lovely New England weather (oh you know, the sun, the rain, the cold, the heat, the bugs) Ability to work as part of a team Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly Willingness to learn Ability to take direction and have excellent attention to detail Enjoy working at a quick pace and have an interest in improving and learning new skills Promptness and accountability Valid driver’s license - you may be asked to drive farm harvest vehicles Reliable transportation - there is no public transportation to and from the farm Good story teller a plus COMPENSATION this position is : hourly, $12/hr to $13/hr Email your resume.
