The Second Church in Newton, UCC is seeking a Sunday Sexton to prepare the Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary for use by members and visitors on Sunday morning. Primary responsibilities include: Opening the building on Sunday mornings Preparing the Sanctuary before the 10 am service Preparing the Fellowship Hall for Coffee Hour after the service Cleaning up after the coffee hour Closing up the Building Available and prepared to help out in other ways while on duty Qualifications: HS equivalency, ability to work to perform basic manual labor that includes lifting at least 50 pounds, standing, sitting, walking, climbing and bending. COVID 19 vaccination required. This is a part-time position requiring approximately 3.5 hours per week, 8:30-12:00, 44 weeks per year, starting 9/1/21.
