Join us at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office’s annual Safety in Faith Summit. The summit is 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23rd, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds; check-in and continental breakfast begin at 8:00 a.m. We hope you will consider attending as well as inviting administrators, safety team members, and interested volunteers from your house of worship to join us for a great day of learning and sharing. Registration is required for meal planning. This year’s featured speakers include Phil Niedringhaus, Regional Security Advisor with Colorado Secure Community Network, Reverand Susan Otey with First United Methodist Church of Golden, Matjaz Bren with Colorado School of Mines, and Mark Bybee, Crime Prevention Deputy with Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. Opportunities to meet with representatives from our partner agencies will also be available during the summit. We hope you and others at your house of worship are able to attend the Safety in Faith Summit. No, a registration list will be provided for check-in and name tags Can I register for more than one person? Yes, but you can only register for one ticket per order. However, you may use the same email for multiple orders. We need individual names for registration check-in and to print name tags for the day of the event. Do I have to belong to a faith-based organization to attend? No. This is a public event and open to anyone that has an interest in learning how to provide safety and security in a building-gathering setting. Questions about events? As chief law enforcement officer of the county, the Sheriff oversees a full-service sheriff's office in Colorado with more than 500 state-certified deputies and almost 300 professional staff. Additionally, about 300 volunteers support Sheriff's operations.
