Six -session seminar inviting women to understand and experience the spiritual insights generated from feminist spirituality.
In the first session, we engage in a discussion of the origin and concepts specific to feminist spirituality. We attune ourselves to the distinct female aspects of our spirituality that are hungry to be fed. All remaining sessions will concentrate on practicing spiritual exercises to awaken and deepen your connection to the unique feminine aspects of the spirit within all of us. Presenter Bio: Sharon Jacobson's ministry in spiritual direction is part of her second half of life work. She spent the first 30 years working in community development organizations. Her initiation into the ministry of spirituality began as a spiritual director with her training at Houston Cenacle's Institute for Spiritual Direction. Following her retirement from professional community development work, Jacobson enrolled in the Oblate Graduate School of Theology D. Min. program. Jacobson spent six years completing all academic requirements for graduate work and was accepted as a candidate for the D. Min program in 2018. In 2020, Jacobson enrolled in the Graduate Theological Foundation ABD program for the Doctor of Philosophy and received her PhD in June of 2021. Jacobson has three adult married children, one grandchild and a husband who have bee the source of inspiration and support on this second half of life journey.
