We are searching for a farm manager to with good animal sense to join our team. The farm manager’s responsibilities include monitoring staff and livestock, purchasing supplies, and some farm maintenance. To be successful as a farm manager, you be detail-oriented but also keep the bigger picture in mind. Outstanding candidates are keen problem solvers who are focused on efficiency and take a hands-on approach to management. Farm Manager Responsibilities: • Managing day to day farm operations; including leading farm hourly staff • Overseeing the feeding and cleaning of stalls • Coordinating with vendors for supplies and material orders • Maintaining farm equipment and executing small farm repairs • Accountable for overseeing the care of 80+ horses; including light doctoring of cuts, scratches, etc. • Assisting with the recruitment and training of new staff members. • Farm Manager Requirements: • Strong work ethic and a self-starter • No degree required • Some experience with farm management or agriculture • The ability to make decisions in stressful environments • Willingness to work over when required • Strong communication skills
