The distribution team is responsible for picking, packing and shipping merchandise to thrill our customers. Key Roles, Responsibilities and Current Priorities Pick and pack orders ensuring that each order meets brand standards Stocking of wholesale and direct to consumer finished goods in cooler and freezer Perform cycle counts Scale random weight product and create manifests for distributors Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping environment Pre-weigh and pack food service product Additional Responsibilities as needed Warehousing support Unloading Cross training as needed Secondary driver as needed (if trained and meet qualifications & requirements) Operating a forklift (highly desired, if trained and meet qualifications & requirements) Qualifications High School Diploma Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Office Suites) Forklift experience (highly desired) Problem solving Fast paced and efficient with attention to detail Excellent communication skills Able to handle a strong workload, prioritize and meet high demand deadlines Physical Demands Must be able to stand for up to 2 hour periods at a time for approximately 8 to 12 hours a day. Frequent walking. Full range of motion and ability to frequently lift and move boxes weighing up to 60 lbs. Manual and fine finger dexterity to operate functional tools of a forklift, pallet jack, and company vehicle. Exertion of force on or against product. Full range of motion for frequent pushing, pulling, twisting, stooping, reaching, grasping and repetitive movements Stability to stand and walk on wet surfaces Work in freezer up to 30 minutes at a time Work Environment Warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from -18ºF to 80ºF Wet and dry surfaces. “What Counts” Factors for Success at SeaBear: Team player & ability to succeed in a small company Proven dedication to doing the right thing Track record of success Safety & COVID-19 SeaBear holds a Level 2 SQF Food Safety Certification by the Safe Quality Food Institute, a global standard for rigorous food safety management systems. Additionally, any employees who are showing any signs of sickness are required to stay home. And finally, for all of our team who can get their work done remotely, we have set them up to conduct their work from home until further notice, and limited our shipping days to Monday-Thursday.
