*Please don't flag. I legitimately help animals. I Rescue, Rehab and Rehome Birds. I have 15 years experience working with exotic animals. I have had the privilege to work with over 30 species of birds, mostly psittacines. I worked in exotic and domestic vet clinics in NYC for many years. If you need help and are ready to give your bird up I will help. I am a real person, my name is Alexis Chavez. I will take in your animal even if they have behavioral and health issues. Or if your perfect bird just needs to be rehomed thats fine too. I will provide reference, meet you and welcome you to do a home check if you like. Or i can come and pick them up. I understand that giving up a pet is freakin' hard! But sometimes its whats best for you and the animal. Life happens. And it can be scary to rehome on craigslist. There is also a shortage of bird rescue throughout the US and especially in the pacific northwest. It's hard to know where to go and i know people have had hurtful experiences at rescues / shelters when you turn over your animals. Please do NOT surrender your bird to Goodfox bird haven, it is not a good place. I am happy to give you other recommendations if you dont feel im a good fit. I do not pay rehoming fees and require that your bird come with its cage and whatever enrichment toys so the transition is less disruptive. The birds i have had in the past found the perfect placements and go to live with the people within my 'animal circle'. People i know personally, see and keep in contact with. These have been other rescuers, woodland park zoo keepers, etc. They are looking to and plan to give your bird a permanent home for all the decades they have left!
