In an intimate setting in uptown Charlotte, the duo will informally discuss their views on art and its powerful potential in the Black community. “Black Manifestations” stresses the significance of art as a tool for self-awareness. From the images our children are taught to admire in our own homes, to the identity of the instructors we trust to guide their creativity– ultimately, we are responsible for the way they view themselves. With assistance from experienced African-American art instructors, discover strategies for encouraging creativity and cultural pride as we manifest an intentional path for positive self-image. The latest works from Alicia McDaniel and Faith Rivers will be featured including original artwork on canvas, fine art prints, and stationery.
