Pasadena Walking Tour: New Year's in Pasadena Pasadena Walking Tour: New Year's in PasadenaSaturday, September 25 | 10:00am Pasadena Museum of History 470 W. Walnut St. | Pasadena, California 91103 General $25 | Members $20 One of the city’s main claims to fame is the Pasadena Tournament of Roses® New Year’s festivities. Since 1890, Pasadena has shown off its best in the famed Rose Parade, celebrating its balmy winters and abundance of fresh flowers with music, pageantry and floral-bedecked floats. On this tour, you'll hear stories about the people who started and continued this tradition and shaped New Year's in Pasadena as we know it today. You'll also learn about the history of the Rose Bowl Game, as well as other activities and sports that have played a role in the festivities. We start at Pasadena Museum of History and walk south on Orange Grove Boulevard towards Tournament headquarters, the former Wrigley Mansion. On our way, we'll look down into the Arroyo and discuss the Rose Bowl, and then stroll along a short section of the Parade route before returning to the Museum. This tour is a very nice, easy stroll on flat surfaces with a slight incline from the museum to Colorado Blvd. Space is limited; advance reservations required. No Walk-Ups.
