Literary Open Mic Night at The Nest hosted by Wizards in Space Literary Magazine - Sign up to Perform or Just Attend! Join us at The Nest for our literary open mic night where all can perform their works in progress, polished pieces, and/or work that's weird and wonderful in the world of poetry, fiction, and beyond! Attend, watch, listen, perform, shop, and hangout in our secondhand showroom where you are sure to meet someone in our like-minded community of Nesters. This is a BYOB event. Meet our Host - Olivia Dolphin, Founder of Wizards in Space Literary Magazine Our Literary Open Mic Nights are hosted by Olivia Dolphin, a local poet and musician as well as the founder of an indie mag, Wizards in Space, devoted to uplifting marginalized creators and promoting fair payment for their work. Event Schedule 6pm - Doors Open, performance sign up list opens for registration (first come first serve basis), and have time to explore our secondhand showroom 6:45pm - Readings and Performances Begin 8:30pm - Readings and Performances Close 9pm - Event Ends At The Nest, we elevate & incubate sustainable style through offering a curated collection of secondhand fashion, furniture & homewares, and by hosting workshops & events lead by local creatives, designers & experts. Our mission is to elevate and incubate sustainable style. At The Nest we offer so much more than just shopping. We are a communal gathering and incubation space for likeminded individuals who want to engage in building a community of inclusivity, sustainability, and growth. Our curated collection of secondhand & local art will be available to browse at our shopping parties, workshops, and other private events.
