Each fall, Communitopia’s supporters come together for an annual climate ride fundraiser to both raise funds and awareness on climate change Each fall, Communitopia’s supporters and stakeholders come together for an annual climate ride fundraiser to both raise funds for the organization and to raise awareness on innovative climate change mitigation and adaptation projects that have positively impacted our region and beyond. This year’s Pedal-Topia will include a 17-mile bike ride (8.4 miles out and 8.4 miles back) along the Great Allegheny Passage Trail starting from Southside Riverfront Park and ending at the riverside restaurant Hofbrauhaus where we’ll cool down together, enjoy some festive bites (Communitopia looks forward to treating a healthy round of appetizers for all participants who rode), and celebrate this year’s awardees! Communitopia is a go-to organization in the Pittsburgh region for award-winning climate change education. We're expecially interested in uplifiting the area's youth and ensuring they have meaningful opportunities to design local climate change solutions that make their communities healthier, more equitable places to call home.
