BOSTON — Letitia Wright was reportedly injured on a Boston set Wednesday while filming a stunt for the "Black Panther" sequel "Wakanda Forever." The 27-year-old Guyanese-born British actress was being treated in a hospital after sustaining minor injuries, as first reported by the entertainment trade website Deadline. A Marvel spokesperson said her injuries are not expected to delay production of the movie, which is expected to be released in July 2022. Wright is continuing her breakout role as Shuri, the sister of the late Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa in "Wakanda Forever," which is directed by Ryan Coogler. Boseman died of colon cancer on August 28, 2020, almost a year to the day. Wright was seen on location this weekend at the MIT campus in Cambridge while shooting scenes for the upcoming movie. The actress made headlines and faced backlash for sharing and defending an anti-vaccine, transphobic video on Twitter that has since been deleted back in December. Wright is expected to be released from the hospital soon.
