FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Seven businesses in Fredericksburg are among the fastest-growing private companies in the United States, according to a new list released by Inc.com. The annual list highlights 5,000 of the country's fastest-growing companies, which are ranked by overall revenue growth over a three-year period. The top 500 are then featured in the September issue of Inc. Magazine. Honorees must apply to be selected. In total, this year's honorees brought in $248 billion in revenue and added more than 2.5 million jobs to the U.S. economy. The fastest-growing company in Fredericksburg is Aspetto, according to this year's list. Aspetto focuses on "protective products and services for defense and security professionals, including bullet-resistant clothing and tactical gear." In all, the company grew more than 550 percent in the past year.
