Description

Babs is a beautiful 1.5 year old red tegu who is ready to steal your heart. She was my lovely companion since a little hatchling, but as money has gotten way more rough I am left with no other option than to rehome her to a SERIOUS & FOREVER home. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH! I WILL NOT SELL TO ANYONE WHO ISN’T AWARE OF THIS ANIMALS PROPER CARE! The Pros: * She is very easy to fall in love with, even her little sassy moments bring a smile to my face. * She does very well with being picked up and never even so much as asserts an aggression posture when frightened/angry. * She is very fun to feed! * She loves to explore and walk around your house almost like she owns the place. * Her face is very expressive, and her eyes are almost dog like. * She comes with a cage! Though it doesn’t fit her and she escapes often. * Includes humidifier and humidifier regulator, already set to the proper humidity level. * Includes her lights and light fixture. * Includes feeding tray and water bowl. * Can include her whole cage if you want it, but be aware that it needs to be replaced immediately. She always escapes it and it is too small for a forever cage. The cons: * This lizard may be beautiful, but she is not a toy nor a pet that you can let alone with children. She is in her "teenage angst" phase, which will cause her to be way more hungry. She will run after and bite wiggling toes or fingers at times due to the rising hunger. Even if she’s not vicious, she still has teeth that will cut skin like butter, so keep an eye on her during free roam time. Though she has this issue, she is easily handled and she does not bite even when provoked, so she is not mean - just hungry. ***She won’t act that way if you feed her well though, so be sure to feed her as much as she will eat every day until full grown to avoid this issue. * She has a little bit of a wheeze, so please be aware of this issue as well. I want Babs to stay as healthy as possible in her new forever home. Please give Babs a second chance. She deserves much more than what I can offer her and it tears me up inside that I am not able to give her what she really needs. I will only be asking for a $100 rehoming fee, as these lizards usually come in around $300 just for a hatchling and she comes with basically everything you need to keep her going free of charge. I need her to go as soon as humanly possible. Please think hard on this decision, Babs deserves the world. Text me at for any questions or inquiries.
