Description

Press release from the Township of Salisbury: August 25, 2021 The West Nile Virus Control Program routinely conducts surveillance throughout the County for the species of mosquitoes that can carry West Nile virus, and recent collections have yielded high counts of mosquitoes that have tested positive for the virus. The County utilizes a truck-mounted ULV spray to reduce the number of disease carrying mosquitoes and thus reduce the risk of human transmission. They will start at dusk and will turn the sprayer off should they encounter people walking or sitting on their porches, etc. The operation should take about 1 ½ hours. Please see the PDF attachment for details and a map of the area. This press release was produced by the Township of Salisbury. The views expressed here are the author's own.
