Police said Jasir Harris, 16, of Philadelphia has been charged with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, assault of law enforcement officer and related offenses in connection with an incident that occurred Monday night. At about 8:05 p.m. Monday, two officers in an unmarked vehicle were called to a carjacking scene at 2500 Aramingo Ave. When the officers got to the area of 2200 N. Sreese St., they saw the vehicle. They drove down the block and saw a man getting out of a vehicle parked right in front of the stolen vehicle. The officers drove past both vehicles, tried to turn around, and were shot at, police said. They got out of the vehicle and chased the man north on Reese Street. Police later found the man, identified as Harris, on the 2200 block of North Fairhill Street. One of the officers suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and the other had cuts on his face from shattered glass. Both were treated and released.
