MISSION VIEJO, CA —One person was arrested following a road rage incident between a motorcycle rider and the driver of an SUV Monday in Mission Viejo. A motorcyclist and driver of an SUV both claimed the other driver swerved into their lane at about 6:30 p.m. Monday, Mission Viejo Police services reported over Facebook. There was much shouting, hand gestures and profanity as both drivers parked at a gas station lot at the corner of Los Alisos and Santa Margarita Parkway. "The driver of the SUV threatened the motorcyclist with a baseball bat that had "large nails protruding from the end," officials say. Deputies arrested the driver of the SUV and recovered the weapon. His name was not yet released as of this report. Kieran Shea, 27 of Costa Mesa, was arrested in the incident on charges of criminal threats, brandishing and possession.
