Nature offers one of the most reliable boosts to mental and physical well-being. Spending time in the outdoors has been found to improve short-term memory, concentration and creativity—while reducing the effects of stress and anxiety. Volunteering on National Day of Service or National Public Lands Day is a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends and enjoy the many benefits that come from connecting with nature.   Adventure with Cincinnati Parks during The Great Outdoor Weekend. Hosted by the Green Umbrella Regional Sustainability Alliance, the weekend is an annual outdoor events sampler for the Greater Cincinnati region. Children and adults can participate in the best outdoor recreation and nature awareness programs Cincinnati has to offer.
