DEARBORN, MI—A Dearborn dentist is being charged with Medicaid fraud, according to a news release from Attorney General Dana Nessel's office on Wednesday. Ghada Beydoun, DDS, was a member of Healthy Kids Dental, and fraudulently obtained taxpayer dollars by billing the program for services she never did on multiple occasions in 2017 and 2018, according to Nessel's offce. Dr. Beydoun now faces 10 counts of Medicaid fraud-false claim that carries a four-year felony. "The Medicaid program, and in particular programs like Healthy Kids Dental, are intended to provide essential services to Michigan children who might not otherwise be able to obtain these services," Nessel's news release said. "When unscrupulous providers exploit these programs to line their own pockets, they will be held accountable." Dr. Beydoun was given a $50,000 personal recognizance bond.
