Description
BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Birmingham Board of Education elections included more than 20 candidates vying for the nine seats on the board, and some of the board's current members ended the night unseated, so to speak.
Doug Ragland of District 1, Terri Michel of District 2 and Daagye Hendricks of District 4 look to have lost their bids for re-election.
Of the nine members of the Birmingham Board of Education, three are not running for re-election: Mickey Millsap in District 5, Cheri Gardner in District 6 and Sandra Brown in District 9.
This means the probability of six new board members.
