BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Birmingham City Council elections included more than 30 candidates vying for eight seats on the council, as voters took to the polls Tuesday, which closed at 7 p.m.
Not only are all the incumbents running for re-election projected to win, but their victories, when certified, were decisive.
District 8 will get a new council representative, as Carol Clarke won in crowded field of eight candidates. No runoffs are expected for any of the council seats.
