Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 08/09/2021 212211548 Preliminary information:  On Monday, August 9, 2021, at around 8:22 p.m., officers were dispatched to a person stabbed call at 2128 Kimberly Rd SW.  Upon arrival, officers located a male suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound to his back.  He was transported to the hospital alert, conscious and breathing for further medical treatment.  Preliminary investigation revealed the victim and a known male got into a dispute which escalated and ended with the victim being stabbed.  The suspect, who was still in the area, has been detained without incident and charges are pending.  The investigation remains ongoing.   Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.
