Musician/guitarist with questions about VT

Hello VT musicians! I plan to move to VT soon and am curious as to what the music climate is like out there. I am a semi-pro guitarist in my 50's and come from a blues, hard rock and metal background. I'm not moving to VT for the music scene, but I'd like to know if any areas of the state are better/worse for finding other musicians or a local scene of some sort. I'd like to be part of a bluesy, jazzy or stoner rock jam band type situation with some chill and talented people. Also, I teach guitar/bass/music. Is there any market for that there? Any suggestions or advice? Thanks in advance
