Hello fellow music peoples ~ Been back at it recently, doing the 'ol Craigslist -to and fro- Popping in, popping out...Year after year.....round and round and round it goes. Finding it's striking me a little differently this time though. Thinking more about the "community" aspect of it. Specifically that while it's paraded under the community header, there's often not much of a community vibe to be found. Safe to say that finding musicians on CL is likely the premise of a joke you've heard a time or two. ( & probably not a stretch that on occasion the joke may have originated from you ! ) But here we continue to be ---- scrolling away our hopes and dreams. So I don't know....just wanted to see about expanding the conversation and upping the expectations a little. ...maybe less of this : "include a link to a video/music that you've been a part of and I can do the same" ...and more of this : ( share what you got. cast that line and see what bites ~ save everyone some emails and get it out in the open ! ) And you know, sometimes just Network. Small Talk. Chit Chat. HONESTLY do not mean to rant - just wanted to share the sentiment.
