LAUSD is looking for individuals interested in joining our cleaning crews on a temporary basis as Sanitizing and Cleaning Attendants (School Facilities Attendants) to help with the sanitizing and cleaning of our school campuses. Immediate positions available - qualified candidates will be contacted to fill critical vacancies throughout the District. These positions are 90 day temporary assignments that may be extended at the discretion of the District, and will be available as long as the Pandemic is in effect. New employees hired on or after October 1, 2021 must be fully vaccinated and must provide verification of their vaccination status as part of the hiring and onboarding process prior to an official offer of employment to any District site. Please note, these are in-person, on-campus assignments. Job Duties/Responsibilities TYPICAL DUTIES: • Cleaning and sanitizing using a spray bottle, a sanitizer, gloves, and a towel. • Constantly cleaning high contact areas such as tables, doorknobs, light switches, water fountains, faucets, keyboards, etc. repeatedly throughout the work shift. • Performs related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements - A high school diploma and prior custodial experience and experience working in a school environment is desirable. • A valid California Driver License and use of an automobile may be required for some positions. SPECIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be able to stand, walk, bend, crawl, climb, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, balance, pull, and lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Candidates should possess knowledge of methods used in custodial work. They will also understand the importance of maintaining very high standards of hygiene and sanitation and will be willing to follow all safety and social distancing practices required by the District. Additionally, candidates will be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions, perform simple math calculations, and must be able to work well with other.
