Caring family located in Nassau County (currently Lido Beach but moving to Garden City in Oct) looking for a right-hand partner to help manage their busy household and care for their joyful, son (currently 14 months old). Family is seeking someone who walks into the house every day with a great attitude and a loving, happy disposition. Must be an experienced, mature candidate who knows how to run a home, be of help to a family and anticipate needs. Both parents work full-time demanding jobs and are looking for someone who will care for their child and handle household duties so they are able to come home and enjoy time with their baby at the end of the day. MUST BE PRESENT - We are not looking for someone who will be on their cell phone, laptop or watching tv. If you cannot step away from your technology, this is NOT the role for you. Candidate must have a vehicle for commuting. Schedule and Pay: Weekly schedule will be Monday-Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, Mon + Fri shorter days as Mom works from home *Ideal candidate will have the flexibility to start/end at adjusted times planned in advance. Pay: $23-$25 DOE per W2 + PTO Your key attributes: Calm and gentle - does not overstimulate Joyful personality Can-do attitude - does not get flustered Great and direct communicator - maintains daily log on how the day went and pertinent details of the child’s development Loves being a nanny - doesn’t view this as a job, but more an opportunity to help mold a child and make a positive impact on their development and the family as a whole Safe, loving, and nurturing Reliable and Punctual Organized and willing to help with household projects Multi-tasks with ease Flexible - must be somewhat flexible with hours Proactive - anticipate the needs of the family before being asked Primary responsibilities - first and foremost, creating an attentive and loving environment for the child Create a stimulating environment filled with play that is both educational and fun Maintain a routine schedule for the baby Daily walks Reading, singing, and sensory play Bottle cleaning Makes suggestions on toys and activities Secondary responsibilities - household management Child/Family Laundry Light tidying of the home Sweeping and Vacuuming as needed Dishes Taking out and bringing in Garbage/Recycling Organizing Light Errands such as grocery shopping Meal prep as needed Must Haves: CPR & First Aid Clean driving record, no DUI or DWI Non-Smoker 4+ years of nanny experience 2+ years of experience working with infants/toddlers Be able to provide 3 - 5 supervisory references Healthy and active - able to take multiple walks per day and hold and carry a child Child development background ages and stages a plus COVID Vaccinated or open to getting it
