The Schochet Companies Are Hiring. King Pine Apartments in Orange, MA is now accepting resumes for a Part Time Porter. King Pine Apartments is a 234 unit family apartment community. Duties may include, but are not limited to: 1. Daily disinfection of common areas in assigned buildings including, but not limited to, stairway railings and doorknobs. 2. Complete the final cleaning of an apartment during the unit turn-over process. After property maintenance staff completes renovations on an apartment, the porter goes into the unit and prepares the unit for the new resident. 3. Picking up trash around exterior of property and removing trash from hallways and other parts of the building where items may have been left. 4. Clean and polish all common areas as scheduled by supervisor. Duties may include: vacuuming carpets; shampooing carpets; sweeping and mopping floors; washing windows; windowsills, walls and doors; interior and exterior cobwebs; cleaning laundry rooms and lint from dryers and cleaning of rental property’s office areas. 5. Snow removal as assigned by supervisor. 6. Delivery notices to each unit as requested by property management. 7. Assist maintenance and/or property management staff by providing outside vendors with access to apartment units. The Porter position requires that an individual be able to lift moderate weights of between 30-60 lbs. on a regular basis and the ability to stand and/or walk all day. In addition, occasional heavy lifting may be required. Previous porter experience a plus, team player and strong customer service skills. Hours: Mon-Fri 8a.m. – 1p.m. (additional hours when needed).
