SCAM ALERT
Buyer with email name "Jim Anderson" (probably spoofed and will be a different name each time) with phone number "
" (probably disposable number and different each time) will try to offer "cashiers' check" for your item to be picked up by a delivery person.
They will tell you that there's an excess amount on the check so that you can pay the delivery person, or some such scenario.
It's classic scam where -
(1) bank cashes your check because you have an account and it's a "cashiers check",
(2) you hand over item and extra cash to their fake delivery person,
(3) a day or two later your bank informs you the check was fraudulent and recalls funds from your account.
You will have been cheated out of your item and given cash to a fake delivery person.
They keep trying this scam because it must occasionally work, CL warns about such scams so please BEWARE.
