Hi everyone: I need someone to fix my 2001 Suzuki GS500. History: Bought in 2001, ridden for 3000 miles, stored in a garage. It sat in the garage until early 2021 when I bought it. I opened the engine to replace all the gaskets (dropped the engine, took the head off the crankcase, never opened the crankcase). Replaced gaskets. Replaced fuel lines. Cleaned carbs. Took the head cover to a machine shop for a compression test, passed. Reassembled everything successfully. Turned the key: It didn't turn over!!! The carburator was maybe blocking fuel still, so I took it to a mechanic who rebuilt the carburator. Still didn't turn over. They did a compression test, which it failed. (idk if only one piston failed or both) Who can work on this project? I have no idea what to try next. It's a brand new engine, it should be fine. Let me know if you can take on this project and how you want to bill for it (i know it might be a small easy fix i overlooked... Like I just installed the camshafts incorrectly, or there's some seal somewhere that needs to be replaced...)
