American Reading Company (ARC) is looking for a warehouse associate to join our operations team who will be responsible for contributing to the execution of our daily plan and maintaining compliance with company processes and procedures. The right candidate for this role someone who is reliable, personable, computer proficient, and a fast learner with keen attention to detail. The position requires operation in an office environment with an understanding of business planning software and on-the-floor warehouse activities potentially receiving materials, assembling products, or shipping finished goods. This is a full-time shift position for temporary employment, with potential for full-time regular employment at the end of the assignment. The position could potentially last through October/November. Requirements People in this role are tasked with Being a motivated and self-directed learner, achieving daily individual and team production goals, and meeting quality standards while contributing to an environment of respect and engagement. Utilizing the site Warehouse Management System (WMS) to optimize order fulfillment and maintaining inventory accuracy. Executing best practices and SOPs. Consistently meeting deadlines and production efficiency rates. Escalating production issues to team leads and managers to maintain quality and precision in output, preventing time consuming error-correction. Performing other related duties as assigned. Requirements and Competencies Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Preferred previous warehouse experience, preferably in distribution operations. Highly motivated, detail-oriented, meticulous style Metrics-driven mindset Customer service obsession, with willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver a superior customer experience Effective communicator with peers and supervisors Proven ability to quickly adapt and drive the right results using data (use of dashboards) Highest levels of integrity and ethics Must be flexible to work weekends and/or nightshifts Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Warehouse Management System Additional Information The position has both an office and warehouse component. You may be exposed to dust, heat, cold, and humidity to the degree of being disagreeable. Walking from the office through the warehouse will be constant. Bending, squatting, and/or lifting to fifty pounds to move, identify, or locate product will occur regularly. Work attire requires closed-toe shoes but is otherwise flexible.
