A multi-sensory dining experience. Guests will be BLINDFOLDED and guided through a 3 course FOOD JOURNEY through sound and storytelling. Join us at The Grande Hall at Castle Falls for an enchanted evening, blindfolded! DARK DINING is not a new concept. It actually began in Paris, France in 1997. Over the years, the rest of the world slowly began to take part in this unique concept of dining. So why dine in the dark? The idea is that once sight is eliminated from the dining experience, your other senses take over and the flavors are intensified. You are also intensely listening to your partner or friends around you as you experience the process together. To make this experience more interesting, we will begin with a GUIDED STORY accompanied by sounds to help you with imagery as you take part in the "Journey." You will receive cues when different courses arrive at your table, and free conversation with others will take place at that time. 5 Reasons to dine while blindfolded: 1. It's literally a "BLIND" date! How fun would this be with your spouse or group of friends?!! 2. Laughter! It's the best medicine right? 3. You get to use your imagination through a guided story! (IT IS A TRUE FOOD JOURNEY!) 4. It makes dining an EXPERIENCE to remember. 5. It's something new and different! Tickets: On SALE SEPT 1 - OCT 24 *There will be no at-the-door sales. You must purchase a ticket before OCT 24th! The castle staff needs time to prepare for your arrival. Your ticket price includes: All tax and gratuity, a blindfold, a storyteller to guide you through your courses, and an opportunity to experience food with heightened senses (minus sight). You will have the opportunity to add on a wine pairing at purchase, and will be sent a link to a questionnaire prior to the event so that we can carefully arrange seating and your food preferences/food aversions/food allergies. Don't worry, we won't feed you anything you dislike! Your 3 course dinner will be creatively prepared by Executive Chef, David Sullivan. You will be asked on your general choice via the questionnaire, but will not be given an official menu. The surprise is part of the experience! Food choice for main entrée will be: Land (Beef)Air (Chicken)Sea (Seafood)Earth (Vegetarian/Vegan)*Make sure to check "Wine Pairing" at checkout if you would like this included with your experience. Transportation can be arranged if you would prefer not driving. You would select this option in the questionnaire if interested.
