The Social and Health Research Center (SAHRC) will be hosting its 2nd Annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, August 28th, from 10 am-1 pm The Social and Health Research Center (SAHRC) will be hosting its 2nd Annual Community Health Fair , Sponsored by WellCare Health Plans on Saturday, August 28th, from 10 am-1 pm at 106 Camargo St in Downtown San Antonio just south of Caesar Chavez St. The health fair will be full of fun health-related events from San Antonio vendors, such as interactive fitness classes from local fitness centers, free health screenings offered by Christus Santa Rosa Hospital, fresh produce from the San Antonio Food Bank, and much more! In partnership with MetroHealth, we will also be offering a free Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine! The SAHRC is a San Antonio based nonprofit focused on improving and preventing chronic health conditions such as obesity, hypertension, and type 2 diabetes. The SAHRC began helping at risk-populations in 1995 and continues to do so through evidence-based health programs on its mission to improve overall health and wellbeing.
