Mick & Keith were the Stones BUT Charlie was the Rock and the most unpretentious rock drummer that ever lived who just wanted to play Jazz. Well he made a good living for the past 60 years and could care less about the rock & roll lifestyle with the groupies and all, he just loved his wife. If there were a gentlemen in Rock & Roll it would be Charlie. To me after I first heard Gimme Shelter in 69 that was the true showmanship of a solid drummer tastefully executed without all the flash and glitter. The man took care of business every time for 60 years! RIP Mr. Watts you will never be forgotten in my book.
