he Preston Center Rotary Club is pleased to present the 55th Annual Westapher Golf Tournament, benefiting Just Say YES - Youth Equipped to Succeed. Please support Just Say YES and join us for golf on Columbus Day, Monday, October 11, 2021.
Fifty-six years ago Father Westapher and some church members played a game of golf to get better acquainted. At dinner following the round, they "passed the hat" and made a donation to charity. The ensuing tradition of fun, fellowship and giving has yielded hundreds of thousands of dollars for local worthy causes. Preston Center Rotary Club has hosted the tournament since Father Westapher stepped down, and the tournament is one of the longest running charity golf events.
Just Say YES is the primary beneficiary of the Proceeds. Just Say YES - Youth Equipped to Succeed is a nonprofit organization empowering K - 12 students to say YES to their dreams and no to risk behaviors such as drugs, alcohol, teen sexual activity, youth violence and bullying. Since its founding in 2002, Just Say YES has reached more than 1 million students, educators and parents across the nation by providing high-impact assembly speakers, peer-to-peer mentoring, and classroom curriculum.
