Description

Work with wire to create a One of a Kind Jewelry Organizer for your Wall! Beginner level! $45 Valery will show you how to master bending and wrapping different weights and colors of wire into trees, dancing persons or flowers - any of your visions! She will show you tricks of wire bending and drawing with wire. As it takes shape we'll wrap smaller wire in colors and then add another layer of wire with little tabs sticking out for your necklaces, bracelets and ear rings to hang from. Once you're happy with it your can hang it on the wall with small nails and loaded with your treasures. The instructor, Valery Guignon, has taught this course and others all over the country. She is a graduate of Pratt in Industrial Design and has made her living creating art fibers (scarves, jackets, and more) and leading classes. Her dynamic energy will get you off and running on your own artistic journey! ______________________________________ Suggested Materials List Students bring pliers and metal cutters if they have some. Apron. Gloves if they need hand protection. And objects they may want to weave into the hanger. Anything you want to weave into your sculpture (beads, bits of drift wood, feathers, funky mesh - use your imagination.) Teacher will bring rebar wire and supplies as well. Former owner of Makers Connect (and current maker of jewelry)
