Description

Rose River Memorial Project Workshop- Bakersfield The Rose River Memorial Project is a community art movement that honors the many lives lost during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States by creating a felt rose to commemorate every life lost. The founders of the project have requested help from Girl Scouts of Central California South in crafting felt roses representing the lives lost in our communities. Roses crafted by Girl Scouts will be included in the upcoming traveling exhibit being hosted in communities in the Central Valley and will ultimately be on permanent display in Washington D.C. Join us for a crafting workshop where we will assemble the roses together or pick up a supply kit for your troop, girl or family to complete on their own and return to our offices by 9/6/2021. Supply kits are available for pick up in both the Fresno and Bakersfield Offices and come with everything needed to assemble the roses except for the glue. Reserve a spot at the workshop by choosing the In-Person Ticket option or reserve a supply kit for 10 roses by choosing the Supply Kit Ticket option.
