Description
PLAY WHAT MATTERS MOST, THE ORIGINALS! 2 Guitarist writer singers and drummer, looking for a bass player for collaboration. We are in our 50's. For the group, I am a Guitarist/Vocal/Song writer in Martinez CA. They say, “You can take the person from the music, but you can’t take the music from the person.” Do you still feel that ache to play deep down inside, that just won’t go away? Have you been through many small bands or groups only to watch it erode? We can obviously do this alone, solo. But then we miss the collaboration and magic of partnership writing. We are a three piece 2 guitar and drum new group. We all have a full time job during the day, but have some time in the evening for practicing with the group. We are looking for a contemporary musicians, to write/perform/ and understand the changes of life and love so often overlooked by youth. We all love writing music about love, but what about love with the strain of time heaped upon it? We are seeking one individual, a Bass player. It would be nice if you could sing and write, but not necessary. We still believe, music is about the song and the talented performers. We should tell the story, and do it in a creative beautiful way. We are not looking for a garage band sound, or cover band. We are taking our time to find the right person. This person should want to help craft a wonderful sound, one that deserves to be heard. If you would like to lend your talents for a new Originals band, and do a little open mic/performing/gigging/ basically playing where ever we can, then please let us know. We are focusing on original tunes. We are open to collaboration, and hope you are too. This is where the Beatle relationship is essential. We are looking for partners to make music, and vice versa. If you have ever liked listening to; The Beatles, Beach Boys, Folk, Country/Rock and roll 60's/70’s/80’s Rock, 90’s Pop, Dan Fogelberg, John Lennon, Brian Adams, Rick Springfield, Sara McLaughlin, too many to list, I think you get the point. Let’s chat and play. You don’t have to be an accomplished super polished bass player, or vocalist. Just be committed and a fast learner. We all forget chords, or miss a change now and then. All songs are to be shared in one way or another. There is a lesson to be learned by the Beatles. They all knew that they did not have to love every song the other member wrote. They did agreed that they would give 100% of their talent and effort to make every song the best they could! Let’s sit down and play for an hour, I’ll play one, then you play one. Then repeat. If there is any chemistry or interest, then we move on to the next step. Lets get those special Original Songs out there where they belong. Lets chat, come over to my place for a low key jam.
