Hi there. I’m looking for families in need of a learning pod teacher, tutor, or childcare provider. I’m open to providing service to a homeschool pod, privately, or for a small group. I can come to you or alternatively I have a large indoor/ outdoor space that is just mine ( I previously ran a licensed after school care program from my home). I’m open to doing after school pick ups and care for a few children at your place or mine or a part time nanny position. About me: I’m a local woman who lives in the midtown area. I ran my afterschool care program from 2008-2018. I provided pick ups and daily homework assistance to groups of elementary aged students. Previous to this I worked as a nanny providing care to many local families with 5 long term (3-7 year) placements. I’ve been doing paid childcare since 1992. All in all I’ve connected with about 70 local famalies throughout my childcare career. I have an AA in early childhood education from Cabrillo and a BS in Environmental Studies from SJSU. I’ve been cpr/first aid certified continuously for 20 years, clean dmv record, and a DOJ background clearance. I’m fully vaxxed including against covid, and live a covid safe lifestyle. I have had a life long love of caring for and teaching children. I continued my work in childcare throughout college and after receiving my BS. I have never left the field and look forward to helping new families in the area with my extensive experience and qualifications. I have my own space in my home where it would just be myself and the group or I can come to you. I have all the manipulative and materials needed to teach and play from ages 3-10. I am comfortable teaching curriculum or providing academic support as needed. I have many years of experience creating a warm and safe environment in which children thrive.
