Press release from the City of Cheyenne: August 23, 2021 CHEYENNE - Cheyenne Fire Rescue (CFR) responded to a residential structure fire in the 900 block of W. College Dr. on Monday, August 23rd. Crews were dispatched at 7:00 a.m. and arrived on scene at 7:05 a.m. By 7:15 a.m. the structure fire was under control and crews left the scene at 11:13 a.m. Assisting CFR on scene were members of the Cheyenne Police Department (CPD), American Medical Response (AMR), and Black Hills Energy. CFR crews arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the first floor of a two-story multi-family apartment building. Fire also extended to the second floor. Occupants of the unit on fire and adjacent units evacuated safely. The unit where the fire originated was damaged beyond repair with adjacent units in need of remediation.    The cause of the fire remains under investigation.    This press release was produced by the City of Cheyenne.
