HAMDEN, CT — A Silver Alert has been issued for Felix Velasquez, 71, who was reported missing from Hamden on Tuesday, Aug. 24. Velasquez is described by police as a Hispanic man with brown eyes, balding hair with a mustache and goatee. He is 5-feet, 1-inch tall and weighs 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with Navy sleeves and black denim shorts with black thermo-style pants underneath. Velasquez reportedly suffers from dementia and was last seen in the area of Hobson Avenue, according to police. He is known to visit an acquaintance in the Meriden area, police said.
