NAPERVILLE, IL — The streets of downtown Naperville will be abuzz with carnival rides, live music and a Labor Day parade when the Naperville Jaycees' Last Fling makes its long-awaited return Sept. 3 through Sept. 6. The four-day festival, which was canceled in 2020 due to coronavirus, will welcome guests back with free admission after charging entry fees for the first time in 2019. Carnival Rides and Games The 2021 Last Fling Carnival will be open: Sept. 3 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Special Needs Day is Sunday Sept. 5 On Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., carnival goers with special needs who are accompanied by a chaperone can get a wristband that grants them priority, no-wait access to rides. These priority access wristbands can be picked up at the festival's ticket booths starting at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 5. Carnival Deal Days and Mega Passes For $30 a day, guests can buy wristbands that give them access to unlimited rides. Mega passes allow unlimited rides for the duration of the weekend. Patrons can buy mega passes ahead of the festival for $49.99 at participating Jewel-Osco stores between Aug. 30 and Sept. 2. The following stores will sell mega passes to Last Fling: Naper Boulevard and 75th Street Ogden Avenue and Washington Street Ogden Avenue and Aurora Road 95th Street and Route 59 Starting Sept. 3, mega passes will be for sale at the Last Fling's carnival ticket booths for $60 apiece. Family-Friendly Activities The 2021 Last Fling will also feature family-friendly activities that include a cotton candy-eating contest, a sack race and a water balloon toss. Live Music on Jackson Avenue The Last Fling will feature four days of live music on Jackson Avenue.
