FRANKFORT, IL — The 2021-22 school year will kick off Wednesday for Frankfort School District 157-C and Summit Hill School District 161 schools. Classes will resume with a state-wide mask mandate in place for all students, faculty and staff, per an executive order by Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker. The mandate has been the subject of contentious debate across the state, but both Districts approved revisions to its return to school plan so that the schools would be in compliance with the order.
